Amber Butchart’s Colour Prism

Amber Butchart’s research into fashion enables her to re-introduce wider stories about society to the contemporary audience while exploring the intersections between dress, politics and culture of the past. Her world is as wonderful and colourful as her style, a trademark of the sort, which captivates you instantly. Amber began her career as the Head Buyer and Trend Analyst for international vintage clothing company Beyond Retro and has gone on to being a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour, a fashion expert on Channel 4’s The Great British Sewing Bee programme and recently the lead historian in the hugely popular BBC Four series A Stitch in Time. Amber has also written several books  and has been a keynote speaker at the UK’s cultural hotspots from the Tate to the V&A. An avid turban wearer, she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a trustee of the Costume Society, a member of the Royal Historical Society and a mentor for the charity Arts Emergency. An enigmatic beauty with more than a thread of knowledge in her sleeve, let Amber take you a journey that’ll inspire  you to a fresher outlook.

My Wrap, My Style aims to inspire and encourage women to find infinite possibilities to feel empowered, while asking the most pertinent question: “What Does The Wrap Represent To You?”
